Slice of 408: The Girls of San Diego Comic Con
San Diego Comic-Con, or SDCC, is in the air.
Or am I just smelling a lot of mothers’ basements? From the looks of the daily visits on this site, one could surmise that people are busy prowling San Diego Comic Con since it’s opening. So I opted to post this on a Sunday.
How I wish I could attend just one SDCC before I croak, but I’d more likely get hit by lightning. So I wish every geek, every nerd, every comic book, movie or TV enthusiast, every Trekkie, Trekker, Star Wars and Indiana Jones fan, Marvel or DC, Image or BOOM! a wonderful SDCC experience. Get a selfie with Stan or Jim Lee for me. And shake Nathan Fillion’s hand.
Wish I was there.
As for Charlie’s costume, I hope people recognize where it’s from. You kids today are lucky to have your Arrow, Flash, Daredevil, S.H.I.E.L.D. and soon the Supergirl TV series. I grew up with Lynda Carter’s Wonder Woman, The Hulk, and George Reeves’ Superman serials. But the most unique superhero series has to be The Greatest American Hero. I still sing the theme song and I travel back in time.
Yups, still a catchy song 🙂
