“In the jungle, the quiet jungle, the lion sleeps tonight.”

I’ve had this strip idea for a long while now, but couldn’t get it to work, until now.

Let me just put it out there right now; Yes, I love my burgers and steaks. Yes, I do know where the meat I eat comes from. Yes, I know there are cruel, inhumane processes to produce these meat products. I also know that there have been steps done and alternatives being implemented to further the betterment of animal slaughter for consumption. I will not debate over the topic because each of us has their own interpretation on the subject, and we just go round and round.

Food consumption is one thing. Killing an animal for sport, for the mere  act of feeding one’s ego and proclaiming a somewhat dominance over these creatures? That I have a problem with. And like I said, you may have a different view, and I acknowledge your right to express it.

Sorry for that. Just had to get it out of my system.

So, back to the strip. I wanted to add a picture balloon on Charlie in the second panel to illustrate what she thought of when she heard the noise coming from the bathroom, but I know people who read my strips gets it.
