Time is up! Pencils down, pass your papers to the front.
Whew! Finally done with this little exercise. Thank you to the few who are still reading at this point. I know I’m no writer, I never said that I ever was. This strip that I’m doing is something I’m slowly trying to be good at, story-wise. Seeing I don’t have the funds to get a proper writer to do these for me, I took the plunge at trying out telling a continuous story from strip to strip.
See? Even this monologue I’m writing is nothing more than me rambling in my brain and typing it on my computer.
Man, March already?! Where did all that time go.
A new story for the girls next.
Hey Dagger, it’s me again. I’m sticking around and definitely trying to pull you in some new readers. While I agree that the writing isn’t the strip’s strongest point, your storytelling is imaginative, fun and sexy. And the ART is simply amazing! Would you ever be willing to work with a writing collaborator? I ask simply because that’s exactly what I do and it would be an honor to work with you.
There’s an open invitation for writers to submit three to five panel strips. And if I use it I will give credit. Unfortunately, I cannot offer monetary compensation.
Oh, and this storyline was so brief and I have so many questions:
What did Alex face as far as her “demons” go?
What were the other girls’ demons?
Who is/was Bluebird? We (and the girls too!) never got an introduction to her or any of her back story. Will we see her again?
Your questions are exactly the reaction I was hoping to get throughout this little experiment of mine. Its intentional on my part to cut certain parts of the story, as the name of the strip implies it is a slice of the girls’ adventure in life.
There is a plan to do an actual mini comicbook to fill in the gaps, but to find the time to do all that work and keep food on the table is something I’m struggling to figure out at the moment.
Thank you for your continued support.
Well, I am a writer, and I’ve always enjoyed the storytelling of this strip. Looking forward to what happens next (and of course the mini comicbook when it comes to pass)!
